Gear Keeper RT3, Retractable Microphone Keeper

Grab your mic, use it, let it go, no more dangling cords.

Overview

The Gear Keeper RT3 retractable microphone keeper solves the classic problem of a CB or two-way mic swinging on its coiled cord and knocking around the cab. Originally engineered for SCUBA diving, the Gear Keeper system brings the same rugged, retractable attachment to vehicle radio mics.

The RT3 is the heavy-duty version, built with higher retraction force, four times the spring life of the standard model, a longer reach into the passenger compartment, and a locking mechanism for extended talk periods.

Key Features

  • Retractable design means the mic snaps back out of the way instead of dangling on its cord.
  • 80lb break-strength Nylon/Kevlar line means it holds up to daily knocks and heavy use.
  • Patented flushing system means sand and debris clear from the unit rather than jamming it.
  • Quick-connect system means fast, easy connection and disconnection of your mic.
  • Locking mechanism means you can hold an extended position during long conversations.
  • Universal D-ring mount means it fits onto any existing screw point, headliner, visor, radio mount, or dome light.

Applications

  • Truck and long-haul CB radio setups
  • Team driving and heavy daily use
  • Rough or vibration-heavy vehicle environments
