Pacific Aerials 0.45 m Heliflex Marine VHF Antenna

P6106 Product Overview

The Pacific Aerials P6106 is a compact and flexible VHF marine antenna featuring a 0.45 m Heliflex design. Built for durability and performance, it delivers high-quality VHF communication in a low-profile form—ideal for small vessels, boats with limited mast height, or installations requiring flexibility.

P6106 Key Features

  • Heliflex Construction: Uses a highly flexible fiberglass whip that bends under stress and returns to its original shape—perfect for minimizing damage in tight areas.

  • Marine Band Optimised: Tuned specifically for 156–162 MHz VHF marine frequencies, ensuring reliable transmission and reception.

  • Robust Radome & Ferrule: Durable UV-resistant radome and stainless steel ferrule provide strength in challenging marine conditions.

  • Compact Design: At just 0.45 m, it's great for installations where clearance is limited, such as under radar arches or in aft cockpits.

  • Removable, No-Cable Design: The antenna itself has no cable. It plugs straight into a Fastfit mount, so it can be removed and refitted without touching the wiring.

  • Omnidirectional Pattern: Provides 360° reception even in motion or rolling sea conditions.

Compatible Base Mounts

The P6106 has no cable of its own. It plugs into a Fastfit mount, so you'll need one of the following genuine Pacific Aerials SeaMaster Pro bases to complete the install. Each comes with 5m of cable and a Fastfit plug:

  • Pacific Aerials P6111 Fold-Down Mount — the standard choice for most boats, folds flat when not in use
  • Pacific Aerials P6113 1-inch Rail Mount — for boats with rail-mounted electronics
  • Pacific Aerials P6115 Through-Deck Mount — for a clean, low-profile deck installation
  • Pacific Aerials P6168 Pipe Mount — for pipe-roofed vessels and pole installations

Installation & Use Tips

  1. Mount the base on a flat, unobstructed part of the boat at minimal height.

  2. Plug the P6106 into the mount's Fastfit connector until the collar locks firmly.

  3. Route the mount's coaxial cable to your VHF radio and weatherproof all connections.

  4. Test for clear marine band reception post-installation.

  5. Regularly inspect the whip and base, ensuring salt and UV have not affected integrity.
