Overview
The Icom BP-284 is a genuine long-life Li-ion battery pack designed for the F3400D, F4400D, F52D, and F62D digital portable radios. It carries more capacity than the standard battery Icom ships with these radios, ideal for longer shifts or crews who want extra runtime margin. Icom's own documentation shows slightly differing capacity figures across sources (3070mAh in one, 3350mAh in another), we've used the figure from RWB's own January 2026 NZ price list below.

RWB (Icom's NZ distributor) confirms pricing: Trade $152.00, Retail $212.00 (excl. GST), current as of the January 2026 price list. RWB has confirmed they don't stock the standard-capacity BP-283 separately, so this extended-life BP-284 is the only battery MSL offers for this radio range. A genuine product image still needs to be sourced before this goes live.
